Updates

Another great double weekend of cross racing is on tap with the UTCX #7 in Ogden on Saturday and of course the 2nd Annual Cutthroat Cross on Sunday. Here are some updates and reminders for this Sunday.

The 56th West exit on Highway 201 is still closed and the easiest way to access 3500 South is from Bangerter Highway. Exit Bangerter Highway, go west on 3500 South for approximetaly 2.7 miles and Hunter Park will be on your left. Parking is available in the lot off of 3500 South @ 5750 West 3500 South.

Remember to leave your UTCX number plates on to save paper and time.

Registration opens at 9:45am and the first race is at 10:30am.

Almost Cross Weather

Well the hot months haven't even hit us yet but the weather has been very cross friendly. Cool air, plenty of moisture and the perfectly blend of mud.

It may only be the middle of June but the plans are being drawn up for Cutthroat Cross II. Stay tuned, start thinking about sniffing glue in the garage and start making plans for Cross Vegas on Wednesday September 23rd.

We will release the date of Cutthroat Cross in July so keep checking in.

Results

A huge thanks to everyone who came out this Sunday to Cutthroat Cross at Hunter Park. The turnout was small but current Utah Cyclocross standards, but it seems that everyone had a good time. The course (laid out by, now master designer, Eric Rasmussen) received rave reviews (except for the tiny, annoying, chicane right before the finish with which Eric had nothing to do).
Another huge thanks to the local sponsors who generously contributed the great schwag. I think almost everyone who raced walked away with something for their efforts.
In no particular order:
Salt Lake Bicycle Company and Brad Keyes
Racer's Cycle Service and Racer Gibson
Fisher's Cyclery
Guthries Bicycles (and a second thanks for the great technical support)

Ryders Sunglasses
Light & Motion
Maxxis Tires
